Travel note snippet: The previous travel note mentioned beef noodles in Tonglu ((#106) Miaoli Tonglu‧Half-Day Strawberry Picking at Dahu), so I'll顺势 continue by recording this famous shop—Yongkang Beef Noodles. One night after discussing some things at Mr. Brown Coffee, I came here for dinner with my high school classmate ClKao, who lives reclusively in the mountains of Pinglin, and his girlfriend ipa. A bowl of half-tendon half-beef noodles costing nearly NT$200 isn't cheap. But in Taipei, many beef noodle places are around this price, especially famous ones, often starting at NT$150. So, even though I love beef noodles, since moving to Taipei, I haven't eaten them as often as before. @@ While it tastes good, the cost-performance ratio isn't as outstanding compared to many other places.
