Travel note: Xinzhuang visiting friends, Fu Jen University stroll, Taipei Yanzi Loves Wine on Tingzhou Road. 8 days in mainland China with 10 gatherings, and nearly 7 days back in Taiwan also with 10 gatherings. Total of 20 gatherings in 15 days, covering multiple cities or regions: Hangzhou, Wuxi, Shanghai, Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Xinzhuang, Beitou. Today’s afternoon appointment was with Xiao Cheng, whom I once supervised in an office above Taipei 101. Xiao Cheng recently bought a house in Xinzhuang and invited me over on Saturday. I think this is my first time in Xinzhuang. At Xiao Cheng’s place, we drank cocktails and chatted about algorithmic trading. Coincidentally, Brother Gong called, so I let him and Xiao Cheng chat too. Afterward, I took a walk nearby at Fu Jen University—also my first time here. After leaving Xinzhuang, I remembered a friend had mentioned a wine bar before, so I took the same MRT line directly to Guting Station to enjoy some rare alone time with a drink.
