Travel Notes: In the afternoon, I caught up with two CCNS university club friends currently in Hsinchu—NONO, now a scientist at a biotech company, and Aby Zhihao at MediaTek—via FB call and text. In the evening, I met up with my senior Meijiao, whom I hadn't seen in almost ten years; she's six years my senior from our university 'family.' We met at a bar in Gongguan. I hadn't updated myself on her life in years—she left the foreign tech industry a while ago and now works at a foundation under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, doing work she's passionate about. We talked about travel, marriage, work, kids' education... from around 8 PM until the bar closed at 1 AM, over four hours straight. Taiwan is so small—when leaving, I chatted with the owner Dennis and found out he and Meijiao both used to work at ASUS, so they shared some work stories. Time flies—memories of university family gatherings and trips feel so vivid, yet over 20 years have passed. It was truly special to reunite with my senior like this. Cheers!
