Location: Taipei, Patrick French Cuisine L'Atelier de Patrick
Travel Notes: Mr. Liang just returned from mainland China and is flying to the US tomorrow to check on a startup he recently invested in—Goldman Sachs is also a shareholder. Despite his busy schedule, he made time tonight to have dinner with Morgan and discuss some matters. Our set menu today included beef bone seafood soup, lobster and duck liver terrine, black truffle and champagne mushroom with egg, pan-seared premium US ribeye, dessert, and drinks, plus a bottle of 2006 French red wine. The two of us spent around ten thousand Taiwan dollars. Honestly, Patrick's main course was quite good, especially the medium-rare steak—no blood visible, and the meat was incredibly tender, leaving a deep impression. On a weekday evening, it's a pretty quiet spot for a meal. Not bad! :) By Morgan, evening of Sep 29, 2014.
