Travel note: 'Stock Accumulation Never Leaves Convertible Bonds' Lecture & Strait Club Restaurant. Steven invited me last minute to come up to Taipei for Brother Qibin's lecture. So Steven & his wife, Xing Nengjia and his friend Achang, plus me—five people in one car, driven by Steven—made a same-day round trip from Taichung to Taipei. We arrived at the Chang Yung-fa Foundation on Zhongshan South Road. Only at the venue did I learn it was a joint event by my former employer, Yuanta Funds, and Brother Qibin. The nearly 200 seats were packed full. Thanks to Qibin's clear and easy-to-understand explanation, I finally got a clearer concept of CBAS. After the lecture, Qibin treated his elementary school classmate, his high school classmates from Weidao, and some staff to a meal at one of Taipei's high-end restaurants: Strait Club. Counting, it's been exactly seven years since I last visited this club restaurant, though I still occasionally receive texts from them. Time really flies. Taiwan is small.
