Location: Taipei, Jinan Road, JYS French Wine. In the evening, I stepped into this shop to take shelter from the rain. I asked the female manager if they had red wine by the glass; otherwise I could open a bottle. To my surprise, she said they had just held a wine tasting on Saturday and had a lot of wine left over. She didn't charge me and invited me to sit down and finish them. That really took me aback, but since I was already there, I shamelessly took a seat. Looking at the dazzling display in front of me — 13 reds and 3 whites from Bordeaux, France — I slowly worked from left to right, 25–50ml per glass, and ended up tasting all 16. Then I went for second and third rounds of the ones I liked. I also made new wine friends: Kevin, a former translator now preparing to retake the medical school entrance exam; Maggie, a third-year PhD student at NTU; and Brother Luolin, who treated me to Serbian brandy. We drank until closing, and I bought three bottles of French wine to take home. Life goes with the flow — whatever happens, happens~ Cheers! By Morgan @2025.9.2 night #酒友社 #酒友社濟南店 #JYS
