Travel Notes: On a regular Saturday, after playing baseball at Daluoge with Haoting and others, I met up with friends for afternoon tea at Rose Lady on Nanjing East Road. The elegant decor caught my eye immediately. Though dinner can cost up to NT$6,000, we opted for the afternoon tea set around NT$400. We shared cakes, sandwiches, waffles, and more. I ordered Himalayan Darjeeling tea (around NT$290 solo). The steak sandwich and tuna waffle were delicious. Afu even brought Norwegian royal handmade egg rolls to share. Using Versace tableware worth over NT$16,000, we enjoyed a leisurely afternoon sipping tea and forgetting our worries. Though all good things must end, it was a refreshing break with friends.
