Travel note summary: Taipei, Fu Jun Hai Yue Hotel, BNI Breakfast Meeting. This morning, invited by my graduate school classmate Mengsheng, I attended the BNI Changfa chapter breakfast meeting. From around 6 a.m. until almost noon, I met quite a few new friends. BNI is a global organization—I only knew about it because Brother Yicheng mentioned it before, but this was Morgan's first time attending. It mainly works through a referral system where members take turns speaking, introducing each other's businesses and expertise. This way, everyone gets to understand each other's professional fields and can refer business and orders accordingly. Each meeting also allocates a longer time slot for members to give detailed presentations about the products or services they represent. Getting business introductions from people you know is much more efficient than seeking them out yourself! In short, that's the basic idea behind BNI, so each chapter only has one representative per professional field.
