Location: Taipei, Fullon Hotel Taipei Yeong Shin, Yu Zhen Xuan Cantonese Dim Sum
Travel note: Had dinner tonight with my university seniors, Jian-Ding, Zong-Xian, and Yu-Zhi. Last time I was here for breakfast; today it's the Cantonese dim sum on the second floor. Senior Dwight now works at the company that developed Ubuntu, on the 40-something floor of Taipei 101. Senior Yu-Zhi, who has an FRM certification, works at EY (formerly Ernst & Young), one of the Big Four accounting firms, in the World Trade Center building in Xinyi District. As for Senior Zong-Xian, he's still at Advantech, commuting between Taipei and Linkou. We chatted about all sorts of things, listening to Senior Dwight share his experience using servers to mine Bitcoin and stories about his boss, Mark Shuttleworth, who became the world's second self-funded space tourist. We also exchanged recommendations for some good restaurants in Xinyi District. After the meal, we went to the Ku Cha Zhi Jia across the street for a little extra snack.
