Travel note: Jimmy, who usually lives in Kenting and rarely comes up, invited me out tonight. Met a few of his friends: Jeff, who's in land development; Chen Junsheng, a top Taiwanese male star from the '90s; and his friend Sam from Future City Technology, who does smart glass. Listened to Junsheng talk about the five standalone B&Bs he's opened in Kenting over the years, Sam's recent 8-day trip to Hong Kong and Macau where friends treated him to 4 days of Michelin-starred restaurants, and Jeff's memories of living in Vietnam for years during a development project.
