Travel Notes: The most appealing thing about Taipei is that it has all kinds of cultures, and of course, you can find all kinds of restaurants. This Zang Wei Guan near Shida sells exclusively Tibetan-style dishes. It might be the only restaurant in Taipei that boasts authentic Tibetan cuisine run by Tibetans. Even though it was raining that day and we were all a bit bedraggled when we entered, being able to try such a unique restaurant didn't dampen Morgan's enthusiasm at all. The four of us ordered Tibetan-style potato and beef stew, Tibetan-style dry-fried spiced lamb, and Tibetan spicy chicken, among other dishes. We paired them with Tibetan staples: tsampa, momo, and Tibetan flying saucer fried meat patties, finishing with a pot of butter tea. The portions weren't huge, but it wasn't expensive either—just NT$820 for four people, leaving plenty of room to order more.
