Travel Note: Woke up and saw a Facebook article introducing several high-priced steak houses in Taipei. I'd already tried Lawry's before, and the one listed right after it in the article was this restaurant. Coincidentally, Manager Liang called in the afternoon to invite me to dinner. After finishing an online chat with a computer expert friend from China, I made a reservation here and went out to eat with Manager Liang. It's located in an alley on Taishun Street, converted from a residential house, so unless you're specifically looking for it, you'd easily pass by without realizing it's a restaurant. One of the owners is the boss of Corner Music, hence the 'Corner' in the name. Tonight, I ordered the US Angus Black Beef Filet 8Oz set meal ($1880+10%). It came with unlimited refills of Wu Pao Chun's handmade bread. The set included truffle scallop pumpkin soup, French escargot puff pastry, chicken roll fruit vinegar salad, Aveda Comfort Tea, and molten chocolate ice cream.
