Taipei — 333 Gallery (2nd visit), La Macération (2nd visit). In the evening I stopped by my junior classmate Maxim's place first, to check out the new exhibition they put together with Teacher Baiyu — paintings made with mineral stones in all sorts of colors, quite striking. Then dinner nearby with Maxim and Jerry at a Korean place (Doudouli) — thanks for treating me, man! After dinner I met up for drinks with Alice, who's recently come back to wine sales. We went to Teacher Nie Fanxun's shop; the old place was pretty cramped, but the new one is much roomier and more comfortable. We opened a red from northern Italy made from the Freisa grape, then tried a little French and Spanish brandy. Later Alice's old friend, Director Weng from Mackay Memorial Hospital, turned up, so I shared the Italian red with him, and he kindly treated us to a 1976 Amarone.
