Travel note: Senior Lman came up to Taipei from the south and packed his schedule incredibly full—I'm in awe. This gathering at 8:30 PM was his seventh meeting of the day, including a speech at a Jianzhong High School club, and it wasn't even the last one; he had an eighth at 11 PM. Senior is now busy integrating various resources into South Star (https://www.facebook.com/ssxelerator?fref=ts), a startup accelerator he leads, backed by NCKU alumni resources. Besides Qiukang Ge, everyone at this gathering was an NCKU alum: Senior Jianjiang (Industrial Management '87), Xiaowan Jie (Computer Science '90), Jifu (Statistics '89, not sure of the characters), Nick (Business Administration '95), and Steven (Engineering Science '97). Senior Jianjiang, whom I hadn't seen in ages, now teaches marketing at Shih Hsin University, mentoring students. The others are spread across various fields. Thanks to Senior Lman's efforts, South Star's first coached case is Lulu's Hand, a hand-brew coffee dripper created by a team led by NCKU CS Professor Su Wenyu, which has achieved impressive results on the crowdfunding platform FlyingV (https://www.flyingv.cc/project/3615). …
