After spending the whole afternoon at home brushing up on Italian wine, I headed out in the evening to Sihao’s place, Fermented by 曾House, for my fourth visit after not having been there for a while. It was packed on a Sunday night with only bar seats left, and when I told Sihao I wanted something interesting, he came through as always with a Slovenian white, a New Zealand red, a red from near Mount Etna in Sicily, and finally a Greek orange wine on the house. After leaving, I’d planned to end the night with a cigar at 伊高勢, but since 少林哥 and 阿毛 weren’t there, I explored nearby and ended up at CIGAR KING with a rich cocoa-flavored non-Cuban cigar, paired with a slightly sweet brandy and a Woodford American bourbon—both worked well; had a quick chat with manager Kent.
