Location: Tainan - Southernmost & Toffee Apartment
Travel notes: On Tainan University Road, there's an 18th Lane where many simple meal restaurants gather. This place also holds many memories of my freshman orientation at NCKU. Years after leaving school, I stepped into this lane again, and countless memories flooded my heart uncontrollably. Looking at the shops on both sides—18th Lane Garden, Muse Garden, Green Olive, O'Gallery... old acquaintances are still there, but some new shops have appeared, like Noah's Ark. We went upstairs to sit down, opened the menu, and I casually ordered a Red Date Milk Tomato Vegetable Hot Pot ($250). Honestly, the hot pot I ordered and the simple meals my friends ordered were just average. But chatting over dinner with long-unseen friends, talking about work and our memories of studying at NCKU back in the day—unrelated to the food—was still quite enjoyable. It also made me look forward to meeting again at another restaurant…
