Location: Tainan Yamane Sushi
Travel note summary: Tainan Yamane Sushi. I'm a bit embarrassed to say this was my first time here, even today. The crowd at the entrance was fierce; we only sat down when the one empty table opened up. My three roommates and I pooled our money to order sushi, salad, and a few bowls of miso soup. Sadly, our funds were limited and our order was meager. The food was okay and reasonably priced, but to get full would have required splurging. Japanese cuisine is like that by nature—a poor student like me couldn't bear to spend much. I don't eat at this type of place often, so it's hard to compare with others. But in terms of value for money, it was just so-so, maybe a 78 out of 100. By Morgan, evening of January 16, 2002.
