Travel note summary: Taitung -- Zhiben Mutton Hot Pot (Heisong Mutton Shop). Another story: Once, Morgan attended the wedding of a senior who worked at Yuanta Core Pacific Securities in Taipei. Since the senior's hometown was in Taitung, I set off from Tainan and traveled along the South-Link Railway to the east coast. That evening, a senior from the class of '82 took us to a small shop in Zhiben. He said it was quite famous. The address is No. 144-2, Section 3, Zhiben Road, Taitung City, but I think asking locals might be quicker when you're there :P. Its specialty is being cheap and delicious. A large pot for 350 NT has plenty of ingredients. The shop also sells fried noodles or set meals, all quite affordable. The broth of the mutton hot pot is pretty good. On a cold day, eating steaming mutton and having a little drink is really satisfying~~~ Good food naturally makes you want to go back ^^.
