Location: Taiping Barbecue
Travel Notes: Even though Mid-Autumn Festival hasn't arrived yet, pre-festival barbecue parties are already in full swing. Today I attended two barbecue parties in a row. Thanks to my classmate Shengyan for driving over to pick me up. The first one was in Toubian, up in the mountains of Taiping. One of our badminton teammates has about 4 hectares of land here, and built a vacation villa on a small plot, complete with a hot spring pool as big as a bathhouse overlooking the mountain scenery. However, the road up the mountain is very hard to find; without someone leading the way, relying on navigation alone might not get you there. We stayed from around 4 PM to just past 6 PM, eating a ton of food. There was also an interesting episode: Yonghan from the team suddenly came over and asked if I had been in Nantou on Thursday. I was surprised because we don't usually interact much. It turned out that when we walked out of Brother Pao's Ginger Duck Soup restaurant that day, he happened to be driving in and saw me.
