Laos has a land area of 230,000 square kilometers and a population of about 7 million. Most people devoutly believe in Buddhism. Boys aged twelve or thirteen enter temples to study, ranging from as short as one month to several years or even a lifetime. Due to the educational concept that 'all beings are Buddha,' you rarely hear honking on the roads, and motorcycles parked by the roadside don't need any locks. Everyone is Buddha; disrespecting others is disrespecting Buddha. Deceiving or insulting others is deceiving or insulting Buddha. There are over 2,000 temples throughout Laos. For thousands of years, regardless of wind or rain, it has never stopped: every day at dawn, monks come out in order to receive food alms from the people. As a result, you don't see any beggars in all of Laos, because when you have no food to eat, you can go to the temple and indirectly eat this food.
