Travel Notes: Had lunch with a few friends from the NCKU Computer Network Club (CCNS) at Luca Italian Restaurant in Linkou, New Taipei City, and later visited the Xpark Aquarium in Taoyuan. Even after all these years since graduation, we still call each other by our BBS Dreamland IDs—Kurama and Reading, whom I hadn't seen in a decade. Also caught up with Champ, lontea, and voto. Kurama has been at Advantech for nearly 20 years, while Reading still works at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou. Champ, whom I met recently in Hsinchu, is still at Google. Junming just left Foxconn after many years and is taking a break, and voto returned to Taiwan with him. The lamb chops here were quite tasty, and you can order wine by the glass. Afterward, I headed to Taoyuan HSR Station alone and visited the nearby Xpark Aquarium. It was almost closing time, so it was quiet and peaceful, perfect for watching the fish swim leisurely. Then, I went to the nearby Hengshan Calligraphy Art Park—the vast lake at dusk was especially moving. I couldn't help but sit down and slowly enjoy the view.
