Location: Hsinchu - A Bowl of Noodles & Pot Rolling Shabu Shabu Travel Notes Summary: Hsinchu - A Bowl of Noodles & Pot Rolling Shabu Shabu (Jinshan Street). The Jinshan Street area in Hsinchu has always had many shops, and they're endless because competition is so fierce. Shops close at the original location, then new ones open, and if the new ones lack a niche, they close too—it's a real cycle. So every once in a while, I have to go patrol the area to see if there are any new spots. I previously compiled a piece called 'Morgan's Hsinchu Notes 5 - Around Jinshan Street.' Last week, I tried two new shops: 1. A Bowl of Noodles. I went with Junhong, who recently switched jobs to Creative Electronics. The shop name is creative too—simple and clear. They also launched a 'trial price' promotion, thinking many people might not want to spend too much on a new shop's signature dishes, and some girls might not want to eat so much. So they offer trial prices for each noodle type, like the original braised beef noodle ($110) for $49, and other noodles $70 => $39.
