Travel note summary: One day before leaving work, my high school friend Junguo messaged me on MSN to grab a meal. Remembering he’s now in a PhD program at Tsinghua University, we later met at this spot that offers a 10% discount for Tsinghua students. Heading upstairs and pushing open the door, we chose a seat by the wall. Looking at the menu, I ordered a baked German pork knuckle (NT$250), while my friend got a crispy plum chicken leg rice set (NT$200+50). The difference between à la carte and set is that à la carte includes soup and drink, while adding NT$50 gets you salad and dessert. My pork knuckle had an extra baked cheese layer, which looked unique. The main dish tasted fine, but with the soup and drink being quite ordinary, overall it felt just okay—nothing particularly memorable. Just my personal take for reference :P.
