One day after work last week, I got a call from Little Snowflake saying the 'Hsinchu Gang' suddenly wanted to have a meal together, so I went to Meishi Restaurant. This was the second time the group chose this place for a gathering. Meishi has a small space but wins everyone over with its excellent shared dishes, affordable prices, and the warm, familial attitude of the owner couple. With a budget of around NT$300 per person, you can get a full table of delicious food.
Just a few days later, my company dinner was at Chuanjia Life Bistro, which I've been to several times. It focuses on Hakka cuisine and is also very reasonably priced. A NT$3,000 budget for a table can feed everyone quite satisfactorily, and the food quality is consistently good. Both are great options for group meals.
