Travel note snippet: Yesterday, I stole some leisure time and read comics all afternoon. Besides catching up on various series, I finally saw the endings of two long-running comics: 'Karakuri Circus' by Kazuhiro Fujita (later renamed when it changed publishers) and 'Fastball' by Saburo Hatsumi, illustrated by Kawasanbanchi. What a long journey! @@ In the evening, I went with my old classmate Jiajun to find food in the Qingda Night Market area. This time, we tried Toronto Cafe, which has been open for a while near the Wenjiao New City area. Perhaps because its location is on the edge of Qingda Night Market and not very prominent, or maybe due to the preconception that set-meal cafes might be pricey, business seemed average. But that's fine—it allowed us to find some quiet amidst the crowded area. The food was actually pretty good and quite affordable. I ordered baked beef ramen ($150), and Jiajun got beef rice bowl ($120), which came with simple soup, dessert, and a drink.
