Travel notes: It's been a while since I last visited Hsinchu. In the afternoon, I came to this网红 coffee shop with my military service comrades John and Wenshen, as well as Miya, a junior from NCKU's accounting department. I hadn't seen Wenshen in almost 20 years—after completing his postdoc military service at NCTU, he's been at Novatek, now leading a team in computer vision. Thanks to John for making the trip and treating us to afternoon tea. In the evening, because NCKU's new president, President Shen Mengru, gave a speech at NTHU, Apollo Daolin, a senior from the Hsinchu Science Park Management Association, organized a NCKU alumni dinner at NTHU's Shuiyang Restaurant. Miya and I attended and also met Ruqi and Guozhi seniors. After dinner, I met up with my Taichung First Senior High School classmate Zongmiao, whom I hadn't seen in 25 years. After graduating from NCTU's electronics department and NTU's electronics institute (master's and PhD), Zongmiao has been in the tech industry and now works at M31, one of Taiwan's top listed Silicon IP companies.
