Last night, our Hsinchu foodie group had an impromptu gathering at Mingyuan Charcoal Grill. Hidden in a residential alley with no sign, you really have to know the address to find it. Once inside, the place was buzzing—packed even on a weekday. We ordered a feast: fried shrimp salad, charcoal-grilled beef ribs, kimchi chicken wings, grilled squid, and more. Everything was fantastic, especially the grilled items. The total came to just NT$455 per person, which was way below our budget. After the meal, our leader TAMACAT brought out a pudding cake from Qionglin to celebrate two March birthdays. A perfect ending to a great night with friends.
