Location: Hsinchu Jiang Ji Spicy Duck Blood & A Tang Beef & Lamb Flavor Restaurant Travel notes summary: In Hsinchu's Garden Street Night Market, there are plenty of affordable things to eat and wander around. Whenever the weather turns cold and I'm dining alone, I occasionally come here for a duck blood hot pot. At first, I used to go to the end of the right aisle for a place called Chen Ji, but after writing one of my Hsinchu随笔 series, a netizen told me that the neighboring Jiang Ji is also delicious. After comparing the two in person, I felt Jiang Ji was slightly better, so I've been going there ever since. It's very cheap—a beef and duck blood rice noodle hot pot is only about 55 or 65 NTD. Eating it in cold weather feels like a warm kind of happiness~ Actually, both places have good duck blood, especially if you like spicy food, it's very flavorful.
