Location: Hsinchu, Gyumachi Japanese Yakiniku Buffet
Travel Note: My uncle Jason, who just returned from the US, invited me to hike Feifeng Mountain this afternoon. After watching the third episode of 'Jinyi Night Walk' by Yueguan, I headed from Taipei to Hsinchu. As soon as I arrived, it started raining, so we changed plans and went back to his place for tea. Uncle originally transited through Beijing from the US, but while waiting at the airport, he coincidentally met the general manager of Taiwan's largest red coral jewelry brand, Qili, for the China region. They ended up becoming friends, and he even changed his itinerary to join Qili's group for a jewelry exhibition in Harbin organized by Russians—such a backpacker spirit! From this trip, Uncle gained some new insights, so he shared and discussed them with me today. We chatted from afternoon till evening, moving from his home to Fashion Cafe and then to the yakiniku place. For dinner, I also invited my college friend Junhong to join us. Another fulfilling day—now heading back to Taipei... By Morgan, evening of July 19, 2014.
