Location: Yunnan Wind Dian Restaurant, Hsinchu Travel notes: In winter, the kind of shop you most want to walk into is probably one that sells hot pot. In cold weather, a bowl of steaming hot soup not only warms your stomach but also seems to provide more heat to resist the freezing low temperatures outside. So these past few days, Morgan has also had hot pot twice. A few days ago, after playing badminton with a group of friends, eight of us—Zhiqian, Xiao Zhu, Yan Lü, Junhong, Xiao Cai, Weng Liang, and Billy—went to Bawei Charcoal Ginger Duck on Zhongxiao Road for a fun dinner together. And last night, because Pang Da's brother Jiawen recently started working at Standard Chartered Bank in Hsinchu—since he's Pang Da's brother, of course we should take good care of him—so I invited him, plus Xiao Zhu who also works at Standard Chartered now, and Zhiqian, the four of us came to this Yunnan Wind restaurant, which originally was in a tin house but later moved to the alley opposite, i.e., the alley next to My Home Steak and Teishoku 8 on Guangfu Road near Mackay Memorial Hospital.
