Travel note summary: A rare leisurely evening in Hsinchu, where I could freely ride my scooter around. Starting from Baoshan Road, Xida Road, Jingguo Road, Guoguang Street, Zhuwen Street, Zhuguang Road, and back to Xida Road. For a directionally challenged person like Moragn, the biggest advantage of riding a scooter is not being afraid of getting lost—just go wherever the road takes you. Unlike driving a car, you don't have to worry as much about taking a wrong turn or having trouble making a U-turn. After reaching the end of Xida Road, a right turn leads to Heping Road, and then onto Zhongzheng Road. As I was wandering around, I suddenly spotted a brightly lit shop sign on the left side. Oh, this Gao's Corn Pancake is actually a famous snack in Hsinchu, but I'd always forgotten to try it. Since I happened to pass by, I decided to give it a go! With 20 years of history in Hsinchu, it's a classic shop that recently reopened. I bought one corn pancake (NT$35) and then walked next door to grab a cup of Gao's Winter Melon Tea (small: NT$15).
