Location: Hangzhou, Xixi Wetland
Travel notes summary: I've been to Hangzhou many times, so I've pretty much visited all the famous spots. This afternoon, I went out in the rain to an area near West Lake that I hadn't been to before—Xixi Wetland, a less famous but very serene 5A scenic area. The rain added to the charm of the Jiangnan-style thatched cottages and waterside pavilions. Walking on paths lined with wetland plants, with lakes flowing by, I fully enjoyed the natural scenery under my umbrella. Then, I visited the nearby Cai Zhizhong Art Museum and saw many nostalgic vintage comics from my childhood (like 'Han Feizi,' 'Laozi Says'...), which brought back memories. In the evening, at Andrew's place, we ordered Northwestern hand-grabbed lamb, Northeastern chicken skewers and barbecue, and Shanghai crab roe noodles... and opened an American red wine I brought from Taoyuan Airport. We chatted casually and discussed his company's recent stock price and his future development plans. Cheers! By Morgan @evening of July 30, 2025
