Location: Jiangsu, China
Travel note: After working non-stop for 23 days, I finally took a day off to relax and sort through some photos. This shot is from a business trip to Nanjing last time—taken at night near the Confucius Temple and the Qinhuai River. ["Mist veils the cold stream, and moonlight the sand, as I moor at night on the Qinhuai near taverns."] Nanjing doesn't have too many tourist spots, but this is one of the famous ones. Though it feels quite touristy, the night view of the Qinhuai River is truly eye-catching. There are also painted boats for river tours—maybe you can experience the glamour of its歌舞昇華 past.
