Peter, a senior from school, came back to Shenzhen from Chengdu on short notice and arranged for me to meet a Taiwanese senior who's been in Shenzhen for over six years, so I made the trip over from Hong Kong. Once we got chatting, we realized we're all from Taichung, which made it feel especially warm :). Mr. Zeng now runs a private equity fund, mainly doing primary-market investment and financing, so we sat in his office on the 45th floor of Excellence Century Center next to the Convention Center, brewing tea and talking, and I listened in as Peter and a few of Mr. Zeng's friends discussed how wearable medical devices could actually be put into practice — we talked from the afternoon until the lights came on in the building across the way. Afterwards Peter and I had dinner at Lao Maque; the dishes were quite refined and really tasty. Thanks also to my senior for booking and paying for a room at his hotel, so I didn't have to rush back to Hong Kong tonight :p By Morgan, evening of 2019.12.26
