Travel Notes: Dapeng Ancient City, Xichong Beach. The ancient city was built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty (1394) and is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Shenzhen. After exiting from the last stop of the Longgang Line, Shuanglong, take bus 818 for over an hour to get nearby, then use Gaode Maps to call a car, and you'll arrive in no time. After wandering around the ancient city and feeling the traces of history, I then moved to the easternmost part of Shenzhen: Xichong in Nan'ao Town.
