Travel note summary: Had dinner with a new friend tonight. Andy is the younger brother of my junior high school buddy Haoting, and we met while studying in the US. He's Taiwanese but moved around with his parents' business since childhood, living in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Canada, and more. He double-majored in Statistics and Economics at Carnegie Mellon University in the US. After graduation, he worked as an analyst at Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong for several years, and recently moved to Shenzhen for work. Now at Tencent's headquarters, he's responsible for market research and recommendations on Tencent's acquisitions or investments in other mobile game companies. Andy is a few years younger than me but very polite and easy to get along with. His experience of living all over the world since childhood gives him a broad perspective.
