Travel note: Nanchang Street, Su-Zhe-Hui Farmer's Courtyard, Jiuli Cang, Kobayashi Senbei. Came to Wuxi during the Mid-Autumn Festival to meet an old Weidao classmate I hadn't seen in 30 years. Thanks to Brother Weicen (Liwei) for the warm hospitality, accompanying me from afternoon till night. Dinner was spent with the classmate's family and elder relatives, celebrating Mid-Autumn together. Their family's Kobayashi Senbei business has now entered its 70-something year. Because they've expanded into the Chinese market, my classmate now manages the factory and operations here, so it's hard to meet him in Taiwan normally. Thankfully, we finally got to gather in Wuxi today and chat freely. Thirty long years have passed, turning us from awkward junior high students into middle-aged adults, but the youthful memories remain vivid as ever. Hope the next reunion won't take another 30 years.
