Location: Hong Kong Space Museum
Travel note summary: I've been visiting Hong Kong's museums on weekends whenever I have time lately. The Space Museum is the fifth one I've explored. I bought tickets for the Omnimax film, 3D movie, 'Life in the Universe,' and the permanent exhibition all at once. The spherical theater reminded me of the planetarium shows I watched as a kid at the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung. From exploring the Amazon rainforest to the singularity of the Big Bang... it was a fulfilling afternoon. After leaving, I checked Facebook and saw my high school classmate Huifeng had just checked in at Central. I asked where he was, and it turned out he was only five minutes away from the Space Museum. So I walked over to the Eslite Bookstore in Harbour City to meet him. The last time we met was over six months ago in London, also by chance. This time, he was in Hong Kong to catch Cathay Pacific's new flight, so we really do keep bumping into each other unexpectedly.
