Location: Hong Kong, Mong Kok, an apartment, dinner gathering with former colleagues
Travel note summary: Last night, I went with Director Liang and a Fund Manager from Singapore who was visiting the company to the bar on the top floor of Kingkey 100, drinking red wine and having snacks. Tonight, we switched to whiskey, but this time with old colleagues at Boss Brian's place in Hong Kong, drinking and having hot pot. Besides William, I also got to see James, whom I hadn't seen in a long time. Brian's wife prepared a lavish meal for all of us. Listening to everyone talk about the recent situation in Hong Kong's financial circle—whether from the perspective of investment banking or from Chinese and foreign fund managers—was incredibly insightful. It felt like being back in the old days, fighting alongside many old comrades. It was a wonderful night. As Boss Brian once said, colleagues may be temporary, but the bonds between people can last a lifetime. :) Also, thanks to Brother William for putting me up for the night. ^^ ~ By Morgan on the evening of 2015.1.10
