Travel note: Hong Kong Mong Kok, Yu Yan, Cantonese cuisine & Hong Kong-style dim sum. Came to Hong Kong at noon today to have a meal with my former supervisor, Brian. It seems like every time I come to Hong Kong, I'm always eating. In the morning, Brian first took me to a local place called Fu Kee for congee; their signature '及第粥' was very rich in ingredients. After buying some herbal tea from a roadside stall, Brian then showed me around his place. While watching Taiwanese TV news about voting, Brian treated me to the seemingly quite famous '小熊餅乾' in Hong Kong. Then we went out and wandered around the Mong Kok area—Langham Place, Pioneer Centre, Nathan Road... At 2 p.m., we continued queuing to eat at this Hong Kong-style dim sum place he really likes, and the food was indeed excellent. After eating so much, my stomach was bulging, and I could barely walk in the end. Unexpectedly, before parting, Brian also bought me beef pan-fried buns from '文財包點' to take away.
