Travel note summary: My research institute classmate and close friend from the same mentor group, Zhengda, is accompanying Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu on a visit to Hong Kong today. He spontaneously invited me to catch up. It's been years since I last saw Zhengda, so after dinner in Shenzhen, I rushed back under the stars to the southernmost part of Hong Kong to chat at the hotel where he's staying.
