Location: Hong Kong, Pak Shek Kok Promenade
Travel Note: I've lived here exactly two years now, and the lease is about to expire as I prepare to move. Every time I walk back home along the promenade from the office, it's already dark, or I'm rushing without paying much attention to the scenery. After a busy day, today I left early for once. Passing by a rest pavilion, I found a seat and sat down, not in a hurry. Gazing at the distant Guan Yin statue at Tsz Shan Monastery, I soaked in the beauty of the sunset. The expanse of ocean ahead quickly calms the mind. Many people cycled by behind me, playing Cantonese songs. Compared to the fast pace and bustling traffic of Central and Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island, the New Territories here reflects another lifestyle in Hong Kong—fast yet slow, allowing one to ponder the essence of life. Life itself is a journey; go with the flow and let things take their natural course. By Morgan, evening of April 24, 2019
