Location: Hong Kong, Plover Cove Reservoir Dam. Plover Cove Reservoir Dam, Bride's Pool Waterfall, Tsz Shan Monastery. 'Flowing water does not stagnate; a door hinge never rusts.' It's been sunny these past few days, so I seized the time to go out for a walk. The Plover Cove dam is the world's first dam built in seawater. You can take bus 75K from Tai Po Market Station. After seeing the dam, I walked back to the bus stop and headed uphill toward Pat Sin Leng. After about an hour or so, I reached Bride's Pool. It's named because a bride once drowned here during her wedding procession, hence the name and many ghost stories. Leaving Bride's Pool, I checked on the bus and found Tsz Shan Monastery was along the route, so I pressed the stop button and got off at Sam A Tsuen. After a 15-minute walk along the mountain road, I saw the Guanyin statue. The most famous feature of Tsz Shan Monastery is this Guanyin statue, the second tallest in the world, standing 25 stories high. It was donated by Li Ka-shing with 1.5 billion HKD (6 billion TWD). The sound of sutra chanting along the way slowly brought peace to my mind... By Morgan on 2018.9.9
