Location: Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, Exiting the station
Travel note summary: Exiting Hong Kong West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station. I was still in Fujian Province this morning, took the high-speed rail, passed through Guangdong Province-Shenzhen after noon, and then connected back to Hong Kong. Taking this trip during Chinese New Year, I made a full circle and returned. Hong Kong-Taoyuan-Taipei-Taichung-Kinmen-Quanzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong. I really had to prepare my wallet well: Hong Kong dollars, RMB, New Taiwan dollars, plus emergency US dollars—I kept a bit of every currency to be safe. Back in Hong Kong, I had to switch from my EasyCard back to my Octopus card again. Being used to moving around everywhere, I always need to practice switching between different situational setups. First time at West Kowloon Station, one location with two checkpoints (China customs, Hong Kong customs). There were self-service gates, so it didn’t take too much time. Should be able to make it back for a remote company meeting after 3 p.m. @@
