Travel note summary: My elementary school classmate Baojie came to Hong Kong to visit clients and we arranged to meet up. It's been a really, really, really long time—almost 30 years since we graduated from elementary school. Baojie started his own business at 22, making car chassis and shock absorber parts, now exporting to over thirty countries. He's truly rooted in Fengyuan but has a global outlook. Taiwan is small indeed; Baojie happens to know my junior high classmate Shengyan. At noon, we sat together at the car dealership eating boxed lunches while listening to the Hong Kong dealership owner's inspiring stories. A rather unique experience, and I'm glad to have met two old classmates (elementary school + university) in Hong Kong within a week! :) By Morgan at noon on May 17, 2019.
