Location: Kaohsiung - Jiasan Mountain Produce Set Meals (Royal Hotel)
Travel Notes: After a tiring 200km trip, I remembered camping at Qikeng Hot Springs with friends. Exhausted after descending, a friend who often visits the Southern Cross-Island Highway recommended this restaurant at No. 7, Zhongzheng Road, Jiasan. The decor features many nostalgic items and photos. The food is affordable—less than NT$200 per person for five, including drinks. Some dishes were quite good, especially since we were all hungry and tired. The menu includes mountain and river produce, like river shrimp, and common set meals. If you visit Jiasan, besides famous taro specialty shops (e.g., Commander, Sanguanwang), consider this place for a meal. Among the mountain produce restaurants I've tried in the area, this one feels quite nice. :) By Morgan, evening of April 5, 2004.
