Location: Kaohsiung - British Cuisine (European Pie Shop)
Travel Notes: After a meal, we went to Kaohsiung to meet senior Dwight. After watching a movie at Warner Village, we visited this European Pie Shop, run by a British couple. The decor has a British flair, similar to a bakery next to Passatina French Restaurant. Though seating is a bit cramped, it feels elegant. They offer various foods, but pies are the highlight. We tried Italian pasta (just okay) and four pies: red wine beef, seafood cheese, bacon chicken, and shepherd's pie. The shepherd's pie (with lamb) was the best, with two sauce options. Portions are small; without upgrading to a set meal (+NT$100), you might not be full. Prices range from NT$180-230 per item, plus 10% service charge. I noticed they use the same touchscreen dining system as Chef senior's old DOS version—turns out this restaurant is one of the 37 I mentioned before! After eating, you can enjoy the night view at 85 Sky Tower or Ocean Heart. Kaohsiung Port at night is quite charming. A unique and nice spot to try! :) By Morgan, late night of April 17, 2004. P.S.
