Travel Note: Small gathering in Taichung with Senior An-Cheng. After having hot pot at Yong Feng Zhan Hotel with my mom tonight, I dropped by Senior An-Cheng's townhouse in South District, Taichung. He's my senior from both Taichung First Senior High School and National Cheng Kung University's Industrial Management Department (Class of '85), 17 years ahead of me. Over a decade ago when I worked in Hsinchu Science Park, I often had lunch daily with him and the late Sheng-Shun. I really miss those youthful days. It's been 7 years since I last saw him, so I had to make time to meet and chat during this trip back to Taichung. From around 8 PM, we opened a bottle of champagne and a bottle of red wine with him and his wife, chatting until nearly midnight before reluctantly saying goodbye. Time always slips through our fingers so quickly. Every moment we get to gather and talk is truly precious. Thanks for the hospitality, Senior! Wishing everyone health and safety!
