Travel note: This is another brand of Taichung's famous Japanese restaurant, Goose House Palace, focusing on Cantonese cuisine but also incorporating their original Japanese dishes. I had lunch here with my good friend Pat and his family. Pat is usually too busy, so it's hard to meet up in Taipei, but today we managed to gather since everyone was back in Taichung. Taiwan is small—besides being a doctor, Pat's dad is also an alumnus of Taichung First Senior High School, the same graduating class as my father. And Pat's mom is very close to Yujia's mom, having watched Yujia grow up. Over the meal, Pat and I caught up on his recent situation at UBS (Swiss Bank) and briefly discussed a few projects in traditional finance or the crypto space.
