Travel note: I met up with my elementary school classmate Yanjie from Fengyuan for lunch at Musashi Japanese Cuisine in Taipei. It's quite amazing—we had lost touch for nearly 30 years. He recently searched for our old school, Nanyang Elementary, and our teacher Wang Pengying online, stumbled upon an old blog post of mine, found my Facebook, and reconnected. Since I often work overseas, it's hard to meet up, but we finally managed to catch up today. Yanjie now runs his wife's family business, managing several well-known Taiwanese bedding brands, and is also involved in the Rotary Club in Sanchong. Time flies—decades have passed in a blink. It's a true joy to reunite with an old friend, reminisce about the past, and toast with whiskey he custom-ordered from Japan, bearing his own label. Cheers! :) By Morgan, afternoon of Jan 31, 2019.
